| The 25 Random Things About Me |
its all over facebook... so why not in my bLog. i think its only appropriate to "reconnect" this way with the blog world after a Looooong hiatus (inspite of numerous times i said iLL diLigentLy update). With reconnect i also mean... to reintroduce, re-present myseLf...
so here goes... on the top of my head, in this moment, in no particular order...
1. i commute... but i dont commute
i go to where i need to go, church, work, school (back then). beyond my destination, i care not to explore. i just cant find myself in that state of wanting to go beyond... just plain lack of interest, i guess. which adds up to my innate lack of sense of direction... And, i rarely take the bus and mrt. just jeepneys for me and cabs. dont make me... i bite... hehe.
2. videoke
i love them... in any form, in any place, with or without pay. vocalization piece : bituing walang ningning/dancing queen
3. i love badminton. i cant swim. i wanna do yoga one of these days. i walk a lot.
4. i am cisco certified... studying for the third one this year.
5. used to love cats... used to have lots of them... but now i got anji (from anjeng, bahasa for dogs)... i cant ask for anything more. i am putty in her hands... or her paws.
6. i got the same birthday with my dad... i dont know how mom delayed the labor...
7. i dont drink beer... just tequila shots, when i am in the mood, which is once a year, during the company xmas party.
8. have 2 phones, both globe... internet connection is globe... was working for globe... so, yeah... "posible"...
9. a skinhead and a tattoo... 2 of the things i want to have before i die.
10. hates cockroaches, freeloaders and injustice... tolerant of rats and the government (politics)
11. believes that climate change will end the world... unless we can do something about it NOW, then we can still live long enough to see the fruits of our hard work.
12. small things make me happy... a good, long, hard and loud laugh, a smile from a random someone, a "thank you", a surprise, an unexpected trip, good, intellectually stimulating conversation, or a nonsense one from someone i like, hot brewed coffee anytime of the day, stretching or "inat"...
13. believes in the power of the mind... the more you think about it, the more the world will conspire to make it true... ergo, be careful what you wish for you just might get it... =)
14. i dont attend weddings, not a concious effort... plainly not interested unless its an immediate family member, a really, really, really close friend, or i am part of the ceremony... otherwise, i just tend to go on with everyday life.
15. i am an engineer. mapuan (not malayan!)
16. i play DOTA... hihi. i liked DOTA so much that i when i bought my laptop, the first thing i asked the store guy was if DOTA will run smoothly in it... that i dont answer calls in the middle of the session... that i extend my shift so i can play... that i know my hero by heart more than the CBT nuggets i neeeeed to watch...
17. i am fond of reading about zodiac signs, horoscopes, chinese horoscopes and the likes... dont live by them though.
18. i love to sleep. i am very good at it... anywhere, in any position... i got an amazing talent in sleeping... =)
19. i am almost always terrified of... rice. i prefer noodles or pasta over rice anytime.
20. reality bites... that movie with winona rider and ethan hawke... i consider as the foundation of my youth... literally and figuratively. hahaha.
21. id rather watch the tv/sleep than read a book.
22. i think that i think more like a man, than a woman.
23. the more i talk, the more i feel better. but when i refuse to talk anymore, that only means that you have shrunk to the level of dusts. bwahahahaha.
24. they say you can tell something about a girl... when you look into her bag. mine has: meds, ipod, external HD, flash drive, make up, keys, a tumbler, umbrella, comb (i rarely use), planner, mech pencil, ballpen, cp charger, mints, ID, wallet, coin purse, cologne. yes, i have a huge bag.
25. i am also inconsistent, so whatever is written here is subject to change without prior notice. |

| PALAWAN part 1 |
waaah! it been a while since my last entry... actually its been awhile since i last updated this blog. hence... (im getting to my point... hehe) it took me a bit to research how to put up pictures in the blog... and i had to reacivate my photobucket account. and i had to relearn how to include pictures on my entry... and review html. phew!
but here is my point... i went to palawan and i cant help posting pictures, not to rave about it... too much... but the place is awesome, for someone who has never been out of the city for years... yeah, it should be awesome... ! hehe. so far, i havent heard anything bad about palawan... and i think that there is very minimal bad things about the place... actually, i cant see anything bad about it... the place is clean, the people does not take advantage, there is a concious effort to preserve their surroundings and their prices are... uhmm, regulated (like all prices are the same for a particular service or product, so walang nagsasamantala). i just love it there.
only jonjon (a good friend of mine vacationing from singapore) and i went there... there was no planning involved. i just booked a flight on tuesday, bought a swimsuit which i was not able to wear and researched on where to say on wendnesday, prepped for the trip on thursday and leave for palawan on friday! it was that easy... hehe. we just decided on how to do things there, like tours to the underground cave and honda bay, just as soon as when we got there. it was purely an adventure trip for me... and indeed it was! nature is amazing... it makes you wanna throw your candy wrapper in the trash can for the rest of your life... at least i felt that way when i saw the beauty of nature, not commercialized, unabused.
it was amazing there, but the beauty of it all was pretty much overshadowed by the our experience in the open sea. when we were on our way back to Sabang Island (thats the docking area of the boats shuttling to and from the underground cave). while we were in the open sea, we were caught in the middle of a squall, a combination of wind and rain which lasts for a few minutes. unfortunately, it was a pretty big one since we almost capsized due to the huge waves. think Perfect Storm the movie... only on a smaller scale... enough to topple a "bangka". i literally feared for my life.
i will be posting my pics soon... soon as i figure out how to. haha.

its raining. pLaying seasons of love from the soundtrack of rent. feeling sentimental... emo.
ironically, i feel nice inspite of the gLoom that is outside. the weather gives me a kind of misplaced energy... yeah, of all the weather... its now that i dont feel sleepy even when i had a reaLLy short shut eye... (maybe a bLink) in the last 24 hours. haha.
yet i am energized. |

| the return of the comeback |
wow... its been what.... yeah, a looooooong time! dont even know if anyone will be reading this blog... i am continuing it anyway... and for starters i would like to recognize the things... yes, the things... that made this possible...
first, GLOBE TELECOM... not because they gave me a huge compensation when i was working there (you hear the bitterness there huh!)... but for "making things possible"... to the letter! you get your 3G-capable phone, install the pc suite in your computer, in my case is my handy (not so awesome) lenovo laptop... and voila!! internet connection for as low as P20 per hour... almost like visiting your friendly neighborhood internet shop... only your doing it in your house... for me, that is pretty cool.
second, for TELUS... where i work now... because my boss literally pressured me into finishing a certification which forced... me to buy a laptop so i can study at home... for 4 freakin exams in a month... which as it turned out, i was not able to meet due to unavoidable and tragic circumstances... ! but then, i am now certified... ! =)
thats it... only 2 of them... funny, turns out that the 2 things i am thankful for are the companies i have been working for...

time fLies... as they say... october's history and november has just began... i wonder what's in store for this month... hmmm...
- OT's... a few hoLidays and peeps going on hoLidays.
- more train station rendezvous =)
- bOnus... hehe!
- cats... kot's due to give birth for the nth time. hehe.
- Leaves... i got a Lot, so, ima avaiL most of it this month.
- birthday shout outs to "papi", meL, midz, mackey, mamud, gorio, and thea.
Life has a way of knowing when we are most vuLnerabLe and handing things quite different from what we are used to. Hence, the surprise! And you cant help but deal. The subtle (or crude) nuances of Life makes it a Lot more exciting to Live it. I shouLd know since i cannot seem to understand me LateLy... can't distinguish the right from wrong, but can recognize fun... is guiLty in so many ways yet not apoLogetic... dont wanna get invoLved but in deep shit... just pretty much deaLing with things as they come when they come, unwise because i am undecided. Leaving most every thing to fate... [... and security guards, the weather... ]
Its just sad when man cannot deaL, and preferred to exit without properLy saying goodbye (regardLess of the drama that's been conjured). RIP, kuya mickey! |
